Protein Pancakes That Taste Like REAL Pancakes!

Yes, it’s true, you can make a healthy protein pancake that doesn’t taste like chalky protein powder and actually tastes like a real, full-fat, fluffy-in-all-it’s-glory, pancake! Follow my oh-so-simple directions below, and enjoy! You won’t be able to tell the difference, I promise.

Haute + Healthy Delicious Protein Pancakes

Makes 1 huge, delicious pancake.


  • 1/2 banana, mashed
  • 1/3 cup egg whites
  • 1/4 cup no sugar added applesauce
  • 2 tbs vanilla protein powder {I use organic + vegan Perfect Fit protein}
  • 2 tbs ground flaxseed

Optional mix-ins: blueberries, walnuts, coconut flakes

Directions: Combine all ingredients above in a bowl and whisk {you can do this with a fork if you don’t have a whisk}. Spray a skillet with cooking spray and pour batter into it. Cook on medium-high heat until pancake starts to bubble and edges begin to brown. Flip over. When the bottom is brown your pancake is ready to eat.

Nutrition info: 215 cal, 4.5g fat, 161mg sodium, 25g carbs, 7g fiber, 12g sugar, 20g protein

  2. I made my first ever Perfect Fit Pancake today and was a little disappointed with the texture. I’m sure it takes some time to master the recipe but mine turned out chalky and was falling apart by the time I took it out of the pan 😦 However, I’m glad I found your blog, I’m definitely going to give the apple sauce a try.
